The Best Sea Scout Group in Jyväskylä

Our local scout group Kuokkalan Vetehiset (KuVe) was founded in 1985. We have an amazing almost 200 members in our local group, with no less than eight smaller groups of youths aged from 7 to 18 that meet up weekly. The scout program is divided into five different age groups where young people get to work with others of a similar age. On top of this we also have an active group for adults.
In KuVe scouting is based upon sailing, hiking, working together and growing together. Our scout group also offers the chance for bigger and smaller adventures.

Joining the Scout Group

If you want to join our group, please fill in our membership application. To make a membership application to a local group, begin by registering yourself. If you are a guardian, begin by making a user account for yourself. After this, you will be able to add your dependant to the system and fill in a membership application to our local group.We process the new applicants once a month at our leader’s meeting. Applications that come during the summer are processed before the autumn season.

Diversity

Our scout group’s primary working language is Finnish, but we have both leaders and members whose mother tongue is other than Finnish. We warmly welcome everyone to join us and we do our best to pay equal attention to every language and culture. At Kuokkalan Vetehiset you can always be yourself and find your own path to adventure.
